• In the Bible, those who do not know Christ are called “workers of lawlessness” (Matthew 7:23). Unbelievers are marked by lawlessness (Matthew 23:28) and will increase lawlessness in the end times (Matthew 24:12). Lawlessness was associated with those who rejected the Law of Moses (the Torah) and were therefore sinners.
  • “Not everyone who calls me Lord will enter Heaven, but only those who do the will of my Father, for many shall say to me, Lord, Lord! Did we not do many wonderful things in your name? And I shall tell them, Depart from me, you who work lawlessness. I never knew you.”
  • So what is the lawlessness of the father? John 6:40 “And this is the will of him that sent me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have everlasting life, and I will raise him at the last day.”
  • Believe in Christ. Trust in him. That is the Father’s will. If Jesus asks, “Why should I let you into heaven?” And you respond, “Because I cast out demons. I spoke in tongues. I tithed. I prayed. I asked for forgiveness. I stopped sinning. I went to church. I was a part of the correct church or denomination.” “Go away from me, you who practice lawlessness,” Jesus will say. I never knew you.”
  • If you were Lawlessness, it was only because you took my punishment for me, Lord.” Then, will Jesus say, “Welcome, my good and faithful servant?”
