• Artificial intelligence (AI) is a field that combines computer science and data to solve problems. AI also encompasses sub-fields of machine learning and deep learning.
  • The top five disadvantage of AI is its lack of creativity. The absence of empathy. Skill loss in humans.
  • Overreliance on technology and increased laziness in humans. Job loss and displacement anxieties are rampant among today’s workers.
  • AI uses algorithms that seek to create expert systems that make predictions or classifications based on input data. The AI arms race will always outpace AI regulators. AI coders will always be ahead of the rule makers. Keeping AI corralled is an impossible task. Hackers have enlisted AI as one of their tools. America will need to vet foreign AI developers on cloud platforms. This task has failure written all over it. An open-source AI system is already available to all. The guardrails for AI are no more.
  • We don’t yet have a rule book on how to treat AI-generated content for academic purposes or commercial content creation. After the launch of ChatGPT, the plagiarism game changed. We have seen a rise in bad actors using AI generative tools. ChatGPT has passed some MBA, medical, and law exams. AI  detection tools have been developed. The goal is to eliminate cheating on student assignments. The human-generated content score keeps tabs. Universal implementation will not happen.
  • A machine learning model is a computer program with specific rules and data structures. A machine learning algorithm is a mathematical method to find patterns in a dataset. A Decision Tree is a predictive model flow chart in machine learning used to determine an object’s class.
  • Deep learning models are machine learning models that imitate how humans process information. A neural network in AI teaches computers to process data like human brains. AI uses interconnected nodes (called neurons) in a layered structure that resembles the human brain. Node networks can comprehend unstructured data and make general observations without specific training.
