New physics beyond the standard model is waiting to be discovered. The second layer of reality lives there. The third and final layer of reality is after that. All things are triune, with binary inter-actives. The fundamental parameters of the standard model live there. Neutrino oscillations originate here. It also controls gravity from here. Matter-anti-matter asymmetry also originates here. The nature of dark matter and dark energy originates from here.
There are 12 particle fields that produce matter:
The 12 elementary particles of matter are six quarks (up, charm, top, Down, Strange, Bottom) 3 electrons (electron, muon, tau) and three neutrinos (e, muon, tau). Four elementary particles would suffice in principle to build the world: the up and down quarks, the electron and the electron neutrino.
Fermions are the basic building blocks of all matter. We classify them according to whether or not they interact via the strong interaction. In the Standard Model, there are 12 types of elementary fermions: six quarks and six leptons. Fermions are one of the two fundamental classes of particles, the other being bosons. They compose these quantum fields of virtual particles.
Of the universe’s four fundamental forces (gravity, electromagnetism, and the strong and weak nuclear forces), only gravity lacks the “quantum” description.
Quarks are the fundamental constituents of hadrons and interact via the strong force. . Quarks are the only known carriers of fractional force.
About 13.7 billion years ago, the Big Bang sent massless particles and radiation energy zooming through the universe. A fraction of a second later, part of the radiation energy congealed into the Higgs field. The Higgs field now covers the universe. The Higgs field gives mass to fundamental particles—the electrons, quarks and other building blocks that cannot be broken into smaller parts. But these still only account for a tiny proportion of the universe’s mass. The Higgs field is part of the underlying structure of the basic quantum fields. There are12 fermion fields and 12 boson fields.
A mental state growing on its own can’t happen.
Intentionality is not random.
The theory that physical matter is the only fundamental reality is false. Physical matter can’t grow known-thought.
Reductive Materialism (larger always is explained by the smaller) doesn’t include know-thought. Physics can not describe and explain everything.
A new particle has been discovered, the tetra quark. It is an exotic hadron containing two quarks and two antiquarks. It is the longest-lived exotic matter particle ever discovered, and the first to contain two heavy quarks and two light antiquarks.
Quantum mechanics seems to insist that our familiar world of objects with definite properties and positions comes into being only through the act of looking at it. Superpositions of subatomic particles, atoms, and the massless “particles” of light called photons are well established.
Decoherence of a quantum superposition happens extremely fast unless it can minimize the interactions of the particle with its environment. Decoherence seems to be the principal obstacle to making quantum superpositions of large objects that last long enough to be observed.
Ideas about decoherence and interaction with the measuring apparatus have now largely replaced Von Neumann’s mysterious notion of an abrupt collapse. The quantum world is discrete and granular, whereas relativity describes space-time as smooth and continuous. At intermediate scales, when quantum theory collides with general relativity, the latter will win, destroying quantum effects.
The purpose of living systems is central to their understanding of how and why they work. Biological data is eroding the dominance of scientific materialism. Ditto for reductionism. The concept that your mental state grew out of your nonmental state is wrong,
