Why are the quark and lepton so small? Quarks make up, amongst other things, the protons, and neutrons in the nucleus. Leptons include electrons and neutrinos. Quarks and leptons’ difference is that quarks interact with the strong nuclear force, whereas leptons do not. In particle physics, preons are point particles conceived of as subcomponents of quarks and leptons. Each of the preon models postulates a set of fewer fundamental particles than those of the Standard Model, together with the rules governing how those fundamental particles combine and interact. Electrons are bound to an atom’s nucleus by electromagnetism. Laser beams travel at the speed of light, more than 670 million miles per hour, making them the fastest thing in the universe.
The smoothness of the energy distribution in the early universe was fine-tuned to perfection. Without all this incredible calibration, there would be no Sun, solar system, no earth, or us.
The three most fundamental particles in our universe are:
protons, neutrons, & electrons. The electron gets its mass by interacting electroweakly with the Higgs boson. The proton is a composite particle. It gets its mass from the kinetic energies from the gluons swirling around inside. The neutrons get their mass from three quarks moving at breakneck speeds that are bound together by gluons. (the particles that carry the strong force.) The energy of this interaction between quarks and gluons is what gives protons and neutrons their mass.
In theoretical physics, fine-tuning is the process in which a model’s parameters must be adjusted very precisely to fit with specific observations.
All atoms of an element have the same number of protons, and every element has a different number of protons in its atoms. A proton carries a positive charge (+), and an electron carries a negative charge (-), so the atoms of elements are neutral, all the positive charges canceling out all the negative charges. Atoms differ from one another in the number of protons, neutrons, and electrons they contain. Protons are positive; electrons are negative; neutrons have no charge. The charge on the proton and electron are the same size but opposite. The exact number of protons and electrons exactly cancel one another in a neutral atom. It also shows that the number of electrons is the same as the number of protons. The electron gets its mass from the energy of this interaction between quarks and gluons.
The Creator designed the Universe to support complexity and the emergence of known-thought intelligence. The universe is exquisitely fine-tuned for the existence of man.
The universe that we are in is fine-tuned to permit life. The anthropic principle explains the existence of life within this universe. Anthropic reasoning is often used to deal with the notion that the universe seems to be fine-tuned.
Multiverses do not exist; wishful thinking does, big time.
The correct number of the fundamental constants of physics are in place to provide the needed fine-tuned parameters that permit man’s emergence.
The universe started in a highly symmetric state, with a single, unified force. Symmetry breaking separated the unified force into electroweak and strong components. The electroweak force became weaker, and the strong force became more robust, driven by a fine-tuned supersymmetry. All of the operationally necessary parameters for GUTAND TOE are also fine-tuned. All parameters referred to are fundamental, not derived. Even the gauge symmetries and particle content have innate anthropic fine-tuning. In theoretical physics, fine-tuning is the process in which a model’s parameters must be adjusted very precisely to fit with specific observations. The universe’s blueprint, its mechanisms, and its requisite parameters were put in place before the Bit Bang occurred. (To prevent a Big Bust).
