Stating that thermodynamics brought about the origin of life is a spurious conclusion. The genesis of life forms requires the sudden appearance of fully functional cells with highly efficient molecular engines that generate chemical energy to power the cellular processes. Also, the cells require significant amounts of information instantiated (instantiation is the realization of a predefined object) in the structures of proteins and DNA.
Researchers have attempted to identify “natural engines” on the early Earth that could have found the required energy. The most plausible is hydrothermal vents converting the energy from proton gradients into chemical energy. This conclusion has two flaws: 1st: There is not enough power generated for the origin of the life scenario. 2nd: Information is still required to direct the energy and matter toward the construction of specific molecular structures and driving particular reactions. No supplied chemical energy could enable the necessary biological processes without such preexistent information.
All theories of an undirected origin of life face insurmountable barriers.

A role for natural selection doesn’t work either. Natural selection could have directed integrated reactions to evolve gradually into an autonomous cell. No way! High-accuracy, self-replication can’t achieve this on its own. The Designer/Creator’s blueprint and code deliver the cell-building process, not randomness.
