  • METAMORPHIC ROCKS ARE CHANGED UNDER HIGH PRESSURE AND HIGH TEMPERATURES.
  • Metamorphic minerals form only at the high temperatures and pressures associated with metamorphism. These minerals, known as index minerals, include sillimanite, kyanite, staurolite, andalusite, and some garnet.
