  • It is what it is. Each person possesses inner strength. Today, many under forty do not believe in organized religion or that God is trapped in a four-wall building. They believe you walk and talk, believe in your heart and faith, treat people with respect, forgive but do not forget, love but let go if it is destroying you, and show tenderness to all beings.
  • You trust till untrustworthy, love till you damage someone, have faith in all the universe, and there is something bigger than us.
  • Today’s young people do not want the Bible as it is written; they think it has a story and guidelines to get you to a better life; treat people who are not happy with the love they need most, but move forward and make sure you know something more significant is out there. It has it all. No one should judge if you call it God, Allah, Buddha, or whatever. Follow the Golden Rule. That is the best rule. It is the best sentence in the whole Bible.
  • . This generation of children now reaching adulthood is a mix of science and technology. They want isolation and instant gratification. They want to see, hear, feel, touch, and know it is based on history or theory. To them, the Bible is a book of various stories passed down by a fireside, like those the Indian or Norse people did. Once based on truth, the stories are flavored by each person at a time.
  • Then, it was corrupted/bastardized to fit the white church. The children today recognize this. Our generation and generations before just accepted it and took it word for word. The young adults see it as a good book, an outline, a story of great faith, and a guide to living a life that coexists with others. God, or faith, is not contained within four walls, is not in a book, cannot be defined, and cannot be claimed by one religion. It is found in a person’s heart, soul, and deeds. It is when you quit everything; you cannot have anything else in front of it. Faith is letting go but holding firm to a foundation of good works, respect, love, and tenderness for all beings. If you have that, then you have God.
