    The fifth dimension is a micro-dimension, accepted in physics and mathematics. It has here to have a pleasant and seamless tie between gravity and electromagnetism, or the main fundamental forces, which seem unrelated in regular four-dimensional spacetime. Whether the gift spacetime is “real” or not, it can provide a sound mathematical device. The 5D picture allows us to calculate things much harder in 4D.

Because light, or energy, in Einstein’s theory, comes from the interactions of the electromagnetic force, scientists have searched for over 100 years for ways to unite energy or light from the electromagnetic force with the other three forces: strong and weak nuclear forces and gravity.
