• In the United States, the “New Left” is loosely associated with liberal, radical, Marxist political movements during the 1960s, primarily among college students.
  • New Left is a broad range of left-wing activist movements and intellectual currents that arose in Western Europe and North America in the late 1950s and early ’60s. New Left currents first appeared in Europe in response to the perceived moral discredit of Soviet communism. The new cultural politics seeks to shut down debate and close minds. Much of modern ‘political correctness’ is a New Left cultural politics. The objective of tolerance would call for intolerance toward prevailing policies, attitudes, and opinions and the extension of tolerance to policies, attitudes, and views that are outlawed or suppressed.
  • The 1960s version of the New Left brought about liberation segments concerning Women’s civil rights, blacks’ civil rights, and LGBQ civil rights. The New Left has offered reform or revolution for over fifty years. The whole of society shapes what is politically possible for each of us, so any discussion of politics must attend to society as a whole. The New Left believes Western society as a whole is thoroughly corrupted—oppressed by the ruling oppressors who run Western civilization. The prevailing conditions of tyranny by the majority can only be won in the sustained effort of radical minorities willing to break this tyranny and work for the emergence of a free and sovereign majority. The minorities become free and sovereign. Thus, the minorities will then rule the majority. That is where we are today. Alinsky always told his minions, “Never let them see you coming.” Bryon Slick and Binkie Binkerton have brought this all to exist now. That is what has happened to your America, Mr. Jones.
  • The New Left believes in total federal government control. State’s rights can’t be allowed to exist—the power of each state to lower the standard for human decency below the national norm can’t be tolerated. The New Left also demands White supremacy must immediately be eliminated from the face of the earth with malice and forethought. Reparations to black Americans must be paid directly and in full. These groups generally aim to overthrow capitalism and the wealthy ruling classes.
  •  Far-left terrorism consists of extremistmilitant, or insurgent groups that attempt to realize their ideals through political violence rather than using democratic processes. (Wikipedia). Democratic socialism is sometimes used interchangeably with social democracy in political rhetoric, but it is generally understood to be farther left. Communists may also identify as democratic socialists to contrast themselves with Stalinists. Democratic socialists reject social democracy for its association with neoliberalism, and they reject communism for its association with authoritarianism. Anarchism seeks to create an alternate form of society that excludes the state entirely.
  • The American Bureaucracy is a specific form of organization defined by complexity, division of labor, permanence, professional management, hierarchical coordination, and control. It maintains a strict chain of command and legal authority body of non-elected government officials. This bureaucratic government is characterized by the specialization of functions, adherence to fixed rules, and a hierarchy of authority. The New Left is in control of America’s bureaucracy. Elected politicians operate as figureheads only.
