Astronomers developed a new method to calibrate detectors to the light from dust in our Galaxy, thereby describing a new physics, with 99.2 percent accuracy, that may show parity symmetry breaking. The law of conservation of parity of particle (not true for the beta decay of nuclei) states that, if an isolated ensemble of particles has a definite parity, then the parity remains invariable in the process of ensemble evolution. The state of the photon, like that of any particle, can also be described by its parity, which refers to the behavior of the wave function under inversion of the coordinates. The state is said to be even if the vector wave function A(r) is unchanged by inversion, and odd if A(r) changes sign. The photon is a type of elementary particle. It is the quantum of the electromagnetic field including electromagnetic radiation such as light and radio waves, and the force carrier for the electromagnetic force. Using Planck data from the cosmic microwave background radiation, an international team of researchers has observed a hint of new physics. The team developed a new method to measure the polarization angle of the ancient light by calibrating it with dust emission from our own Milky Way.
Dangerous ‘naked’ black holes could be hiding in the universe.
Black holes are regions of infinite density, known as a singularity. And according to mainstream physics, each of these cosmic matter munchers is fringed by an event horizon –- a boundary where once you fall in, you never come out. But what if some black holes are naked — completely lacking such frontiers? As far as we can tell, singularities are always wrapped in event horizons, but a more detailed look at the math of general relativity suggests that doesn’t have to be the case. If such naked black holes dot the universe, new research reveals how we might be able to detect one: by looking at the ring of light surrounding it.

Naturalness Hits a Snag with Higgs:
A theoretical approach called naturalness has helped physicists understand several particle physics puzzles—but the Higgs boson’s unsuitably small mass is currently foiling this strategy. The Higgs mass is 10171017 times smaller than the Planck mass, but quantum corrections from Higgs interactions with other particles should cause the two masses to be nearly equal. This dilemma is deemed the electroweak hierarchy problem. The hierarchy problem is familiar to anyone who has taken undergraduate electrodynamics. The discovery of the Higgs boson at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in 2012 illuminated the mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking, through which the electromagnetic and weak nuclear forces emerge from a unified electroweak force. But if the Higgs discovery answered the question of how electroweak symmetry breaking occurs, it left open the further question of why this breaking occurs at around 250 GeV—an energy that is far removed from other energy scales in particle physics. This energy mismatch goes by the name of the electroweak hierarchy problem. The electron is surrounded by an electric field that diverges at small distances from the electron’s point-like charge. The energy in this field is called the self-energy, and it should contribute to the electron’s mass (just as quantum corrections contribute to the Higgs mass).
Physicists Propose New Theory on Origin of Dark Matter
A new mechanism of dark matter production: if dark matter particles acquire mass during a first order phase transition, it is energetically unfavorable for them to enter the expanding bubbles; instead, most of them are reflected and quickly annihilate away; the bubbles eventually merge as the phase transition completes and only the dark matter particles that have entered the bubbles survive to constitute the observed dark matter today. There is strong indirect evidence for its existence from measurements of cosmic primordial radiation, anomalies in the radial dependence of galactic rotational curves and gravitational lensing. Theoretical physicists suspect that it is made of unseen particles that neither reflect nor absorb light, but are able to exert gravity. DNA is a codebook that issues instructions. DNA is the governing force that issues instructions to specificproteins at specific times, in specific amounts.
The gene blueprint regulates gene activity. DNA issues instruction three at a time. DNA is an information structure. It maintains gene production and regulation to deliver the correct gene functions. Genes are networked in a complex sequenced network. The gene network self schedules and delivers the required results.
Information is physical and it represents the ultimate nature of reality. These surprisingly simple assertions have many deep consequences. Information theory is the wellspring of our contemporary digital world. The universe is an information network. Life is an informational structure.
