• Almost every war ever fought had a god of some kind on both sides. The reasons for war are many; some are just contrived. Many folks don’t know what they are fighting for. The horrors of war are etched upon the soldier’s faces as they stagger around in strange places. The inevitability of wars goes on. Some soldiers lay dying; others can’t walk anymore. Body parts are littered on the ground, waiting for the medics to come round. The soldiers, still alive, have terror-filled eyes, and their will to live is fading away. Kill or die trying is all they have left to give. Foreign wars all look the same when you are on the killing floor.
  • Everybody has a time of dying.
  • Empires vanish in due course; they melt away into the sands of time. They are left with empty streets and buildings falling to the ground. Nothing on this Earth lasts all that long. Everything keeps slipping into oblivion.
  • Loud and proud seem to have gone away from you. You’re finely dressed, your speech is so refined, and your lack of values can’t be compromised. You are the devil in disguise.
  • Running scared is now what you do. You are looking for bridges to tomorrow that are no longer there. You’re standing at the corner of heartbreak and despair. Home again is lost to you.
  • Nothing on this Earth lasts all that long. Everything keeps slipping into oblivion.
  • The revolution without an end has just begun. The politician hides down in the alley to receive today’s bribe. The Parchment Farm wants him back again. It wants him to see what’s happened since he’s been gone.
  • Remember, you can still get some Egg Foo Young in the secret places of old Hong Kong.
  • Puppets in a staged play are on display. They are playing in the shadows of what used to be. Sad songs of faded love were playing, with no answer from above.
  • Love and pity, side by side, with no divide. The voodoo’s curse wouldn’t give her any peace. She lost what was left of her mind. She died trying to look for some peace. Only death’s rampage provided her with some relief.
