A diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible workplace is one where everyone feels welcome and respected, regardless of their differences. This type of workplace is more productive, innovative, and creative. It is also more likely to attract and retain top talent, has better employee engagement, and is better equipped to serve its customers. (A bureaucratic platitude and perfunctory statement mission statement).
Corporate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs. Once seen as a sub-component under the human resources department, DEI has evolved into a core business function. Declaring themselves champions of people of color or setting an ambitious top-down DEI strategy across the firm. However, these grand stances usually fizzle out, leaving leaders frustrated and saying DEI work is too hard. It takes too long to see results. DEI is a nightmare.
The final dictate for DEI programs started in 2019 from the World Economic Forum. The WEF is a Communist forum disguised as being Socialist. They have been meeting since 1971. Their goal is to destroy capitalism.
The current political storms over DEI hark back to the inception of diversity, equity, and inclusion work on college campuses. Diversity efforts were corrupting college campuses with an extreme form of political correctness. College became a place to corrupt impressionable young minds. After the murder of George Floyd, every organization wanted to hire one of these DEI officers. DEI had to be honored and obeyed. The practice of race-informed admissions went sky-high.
Every large business and every college had to set up a DEI office immediately. The result of these offices was an unmitigated distaste across America. Some schools dropped the use of standardized test scores as an admissions requirement. Many colleges issued apologies for their roles in systemic racism. A backlash typically follows alleged racial progress. DEI became a Jim Crow revenge plan. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion became Divide, Exclude, and Indocranate. An anti-DEI push across the nation formed.
