Dark energy is a complete mystery. That is how it got its name – dark energy refers to the fact that something must fill the universe’s vast reaches to make space speed up in its expansion.
Dark energy is the name given to the force that is believed to be making the universe larger. Distant galaxies appear to be moving away from us at high speed: the universe is getting bigger and has been since the Big Bang.
They reposed dark energy within space itself. It is inherent in the fabric of space-time. Gravity is universal, and it responds to everything. There is energy density in the area. Vacuum energy pushes things apart.
95% of the universe is dark but not empty. We infer that dark matter and dark energy exist in that 95% of the universe. Matter takes up 5% of the universe. Humanity is a speck of existence within our allotted 5% of the universe.
The density of dark energy refuses to go down. Dark energy has negative pressure. Gravity responds to energy density and pressure—unclear energy functions as anti-gravity. Pressure makes inflation speed up.
Energy conservation law states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed – only converted from one form of life to another. This means that a system always has the same amount of energy unless added from the outside. Conservation of energy, the principle of physics according to which the energy of interacting bodies or particles in a closed system remains constant. For example, when a pendulum swings upward, kinetic energy is converted to potential energy.
Rather than being a type of particle, it appears to behave as though it were a type of energy intrinsic to space itself. As space expands, the dark energy density remains constant rather than decreasing or increasing. … As new space gets created in the expanding Universe, the dark energy density remains constant.

Gravity has been fooling us. Inflation too. Inflation kicked off with the big bang, and now it is back, maybe. The monopoles move the dark matter around based on need.
When the lights came on after the big bang, the dark energy ratio to dark matter was a billion to one; today, the rate is less than 3 to 1.
