- The intrinsic angular momentum of a particle is its spin. Its angular momentum results in the particle’s motion in space. (It’s orbital angular momentum). The conservation of energy rule applies to particle spin as well.
The conservation laws include conservation of mass (now conservation of mass and energy after Einstein’s Theory of Relativity), conservation of linear momentum, conservation of angular momentum, and conservation of electric charge.The principle of energy conservation states that energy is neither created nor destroyed. It may transform from one type to another.As objects move around over time, the energy associated with them, e.g., kinetic, gravitational potential, heat, might change forms, but if energy is conserved, then the total will remain the same. Conservation of energy applies only to isolated systems.
