On the classic side of physics, John Wheller said, “Spacetime tells matter how to move; matter tells spacetime how to curve.” On the quantum level of physics, quantum field theory is formulated in the flat spacetime used by special relativity. Both levels spring from the fundamental level of physics. Attempts to treat gravity as simply another quantum field are not renormalizable. This is because the technique to control infinities by assuming the existence of new unknown physics at new scales doesn’t apply to quantizing gravity to make quantum gravity fit.
Gravitons are massless. Their gravitational force has a very long range. They propagate at the speed of light. Gravity has an infinite range and can bind distant galaxies together. Gravitons move in the manner of other force carriers. Conventional gravity only attracts, unlike electromagnetism, which both attracts and repels.
When inflation ended, it triggered the creation of all known particles, including dark matter and dark energy. All three are controlled by gravity, regular quantum gravity, and unique quantum gravity. The cosmos was flooded with dark matter before ordinary matter got started. The particle zoo was born out of inflation decay. Remains of the original inflation are still sloshing around today. The quantum mechanical force carrier, the graviton, holds things together. Gravity split away from the other three forces during the preheating phase near the end of inflation. The graviton is massless with a spin of 2 that mediates the force of the gravitational field. Space has no electrical charge in it. This means the graviton, operating through space, must be electrically neutral. Gravity stems from the distribution of energy and momentum in the universe.

The energy of a wave in a field is quantized. Energy is a quantity derived from other fields. Energy is a linear operator, whose eigenvalues become the quantized values that characterize different quantum states.
