The origin of life means the emergence of heritable and evolvable self-reproduction. “Origin of Life” is a very complex subject and often controversial. The big bang theory of the origin of the Universe gave new ideas about the topic of biological evolution. It has been hypothesized that complex life-forms on Earth, including humans, arose over some time from simple bacteria-like tiny cells by process of self-organization akin to the evolution of the Universe by self-organization of simple material structures (i.e., fundamental particles produced by the big bang) toward more and more complex systems. There are several theories about the origin of life. Formation of life initiated from the ocean containing organic compounds. Instead of originating from complex molecules like RNA, DNA, life might have begun with small and straightforward molecules interacting with each other in cycles of reactions. These reactions might have been changing a simple capsule to cell membranes, and overtime more complex molecules or cells. Deep-Sea Vents: This theory suggests that life arose deep in the ocean within warm, rocky structures called hydrothermal vents. Community Clay: The first molecule of life, hydrocarbon, might have met on the clay. These surfaces might not only have concentrated these organic compounds together but also helped organize them into patterns much like our genes. Mineral crystals in clay could have arranged organic molecules into organized designs.
Spontaneous origin: Life may have evolved from non-living matter as association with prebiotic molecules under primitive earth conditions became more complex. This theory suggests that life could come from nonliving things, decaying and rotting matter like straw, mud, etc. Another idea is: After the Earth cooled enough to allow oceans to form, they filled with organic gels deposits as suggested in the Oparin-Haldane model.

Or the origin of life came about because Batman and the Tooth Fairy were already living in the microwave. Every form of refuge has its price.

The first traces of life recorded on Earth are thought to be as old as 4.2 billion years, indicating that life may have evolved within 200 million years after the first appearance of liquid water.

Beginning of Life – Biology for Everybody

Since the late 1950s and 1960s, origin-of-life researchers have increasingly recognized the complex and specific nature of unicellular life and the biomacromolecules on which such systems depend. Further, molecular biologists and origin-of-life researchers have characterized this complexity and specificity in informational terms.
