2nd. God needed to eliminate most of them and start over.
HE USED A TWO-PRONGED ATTACK PLAN.
THEY WOULD SEE FIRE AND RAIN.
FIRST, they would be hit with comets for 1,200 YEARS OR SO. GO’
THE PUNCH THAT FINISHED THE EXTINGUISHING OF EVIL HUMANS WAS THE GLOBAL FLOOD.
A global flood would occur after the comets stopped raining.

Göbekli Tepe, dated to approximately 11,500 years ago, was not a complex built from scratch. The improvised assembly of architectural elements belonging to a much older culture vanished without a trace after the alleged impact of a swarm of comets around 12,900 years ago.

The first clue that challenged the traditional version was the discovery of the Vulture Style, an artifact that functions as an astronomical diagram, capable of dating back millennia and describing a period when, due to that celestial cataclysm, living outdoors was almost impossible. At the top of the stele, three cavities appear, representing the shelters where Sapiens sought protection while the sky rained down debris and fire. Yet one surprising detail went almost unnoticed: an object of such refinement should have occupied a prominent place; instead, as the images show, it was carelessly inserted into a rudimentary wall. Who would treat such a masterpiece like any other stone, if not a community incapable of understanding its meaning, likely more backward than its creators?
A further sign arrived recently, when Turkish authorities announced the discovery of an ancient statue. This, too, rather than being displayed or promoted, appears to be embedded in a wall structure like any other block, a clear sign that whoever placed it there had no sense of its value. The picture that emerges is thus increasingly coherent: approximately 11,500 years ago, groups of hunter-gatherers settled in the area now known as Göbekli Tepe, finding it strewn with the remains of an earlier culture. A surprisingly advanced culture, considering that the Vulture Style preserves a veritable astronomical calendar. Because these groups failed to recognize the value of the artifacts before them, they used them as building materials for temporary structures, which is why we now find highly valuable fragments serving as beams or bricks.
The question remains: which original civilization was capable of producing such works? If the stele recounts an event dating back 12,900 years—namely, the cometary bombardment—its authors must have lived before or during that period, long enough to observe and interpret what was happening. A culture that, judging by the evidence, failed to survive the profound upheavals wrought by that cosmic disaster.

Environmental Reset: The sudden, catastrophic environmental shifts (glacial to cold, then back to warm) or potential impact events destroyed megafauna and existing cultures, setting the stage for a new era.

The flood is understood as a pivotal, historical event in biblical theology, representing God’s judgment on humanity’s wickedness.

The Tower of Babel incident occurred 4,200 years ago—about 100 years after the Flood but before Abraham was born. This was before ancient Egypt, Greece, and other early civilizations.
The lifespans in Genesis 11 span from Abram back to the Flood. When we add the years listed in Genesis 11 to Abram’s birth year 2166 B.C., we get about 2472 B.C. for the Flood year.
