Materialism is a worthless metaphysical framework for science

Rules aren’t themselves material. So how do materialists explain the laws of physics? Why does matter behave according to these non-materialist rules? Why do the laws of physics obey astonishingly beautiful and intricate mathematical systems? Why is nature so elegantly mathematical? Materialism has nothing to say about that. The answer is this: mathematics is not a material thing. Arguments that modern physics manifests causal closure are complete nonsense. The Big Bang violates causal closure, singularities, and black holes violate causal closure, general relativity violates causal closure, and quantum entanglement violates causal closure, so the materialists have nothing to say to science.
Scientistic materialism is a theory that physical matter is the only fundamental reality and that all physical and mental processes are explained as manifestations of matter. George Sanatana, a philosopher, popularized scientific materialism in the 1800s. During the 19th century, these assumptions hardened turned into dogmas and merged into a belief system that came to be known as scientific materialism.

Compatibilism believes that free will and determinism are mutually compatible and that it is possible to believe in both without being logically inconsistent.
That quantum-mechanical phenomena, such as entanglement and superposition, may play an essential part in the brain’s function and explain consciousness.
Consciousness is in an entangled state with the physical universe, so much so that it can explain neither without the other. This relationship gives meaning to any other phenomenon–the entangled relationship between a subjective experience (i.e., consciousness) and the physical universe is life.
Quantum entanglement is a real thing, and the entanglement is instantaneous.
